Community Service Day -- Making our neighborhoods better places to live. The old adage, "many hands make light work," has been put into practice since 1984. All Windermere agents dedicate one day each year to work together on neighborhood improvement projects. Community Service Day is a great opportunity to give back to the communities where we live and work, and gives us a chance to work together.
- Each office selects a project that best serves its community's needs.
- Past projects have included cleaning, landscaping, painting and light carpentry to benefit senior citizen centers, facilities for physically and mentally challenged children and adults, public schools, low-income housing and emergency shelters, among others.
- Community Service Day has been recognized by several local and national organizations for its community improvement projects.
- Because of Windermere's leadership role, similar programs have been adopted by real estate firms across the country.
- Since the first Community Service Day in 1984, Windermere associates and staff have volunteered more than 350,000 hours of service to help improve our communities. As Windermere enters new neighborhoods throughout the West, we are committed to continuing this tradition and expanding the positive impact it can have on the communities we share.
